For the Quran to be a part of the girls daily life that their actions, character, speech etc be influenced by the Quran.
Key Stage 3:
Learn to read Quran fluently with correct pronunciation and with the application of Tajweed rules by the use of Quran digital pen.Memorise surahs by heart with their English translation.
Number of lessons per week: year 7 three lessons, year 8&9 two lessons.
Key Stage 4:
Learn to read Quran fluently with correct pronunciation and with the application of Tajweed rules by the use of Quran digital pen.Memorise surahs by heart with their English translation.Also pupils learn the tafseer of quran so they understand quran very well.

Topics covered : Aqeedah, Stories from the Quran-prophets, Islamic Law, Seerah
Quran department covers all these topics including morals and manners and more importantly we always relate it to todays times

Extra curricular activities or opportunities for KS5:
Umrah Trip: Quran department organises umrah trip each year to give an opportunity to our pupils to visit the land of revelation and it has been really successful in past 8 years and we also open this opportunity for our community sisters to join us to this holly trip.
Quran Department arranges Quran competition catering year 7-10. Pupils have to memorise one designated surah with their English translation to take part. Judges panel choses 1st 2nd and 3rd winners from each year group.
Each year we get donations from charity organisation and parents to cover the cost of event any reader of this website wishes to donate funds for Quran competition or for department please contact school. Jazakum alllah u khairun in advance.
