MIHSG took part in Charity Week – an Islamic Relief event – for the fifth year in a row.
Every year pupils work tirelessly to raise funds for orphans around the world, with a range of activities taking place including a treck around Ingleton Falls, charity lunches and regular tuck shops.
Alhamdulilah, with the generosity of pupils, parents and members of the local community, MIHSG was able to raise £11,665.56 for all those children in need by working together.
Competition against other institutions is always strong, and after coming first previously, MIHSG was looking to do the same again.
Alhamdulillah, MIHSG came first when compared to other colleges and schools in the region who took part, and second amongst all the universities, beating 3rd place by over £4,000.
Jazak’Allah to the parents, members of the local community and staff at MIHSG for their continuous support – however none of this could have been possible without the commitment and dedication of the pupils at MIHSG.
It couldn’t have been done unless everyone worked together and united as one to help those less fortunate and carry out this sunnah act which the Prophet Muhammad (saw) spoke about dearly.
May everyone be rewarded immensely and rewarded in a gathering far greater than the gathering today.
